As of 1 January 2021, Companies from Switzerland are excluded from participation in procurement procedures published by Fusion for Energy.
The agreement between the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom) and the Swiss Confederation (Switzerland) on Switzerland’s membership to the European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy (2008/72/Euratom) came to an end on 31st December 2020. The European Union and the Swiss Government are in the process of negotiating a successor agreement, which would allow Switzerland to become an F4E member again. Until the moment when such agreement is signed, Swiss Companies cannot participate in F4E’s public procurement activities.
Swiss companies willing to have more information on the topic are invited to contact the Swiss Industrial Liaison officer.
