Mitica is an experiment located in PRIMA facility, Padua, Italy. F4E is supplying a cryoplant to provide helium at either 4 K or 80 K to test a neutral beam injector for ITER.

The scope of supply includes:

— preliminary and final design of the complete cryogenic plant,

— procurement and production of all the cryogenic plant components and equipment,

— factory testing and control of all components and equipment for the cryogenic plant,

— packing, transport, delivery, supervision of unloading and handling to the PRIMA site of all the components of the cryogenic plant,

— full installation of the cryogenic plant inside the PRIMA buildings,

— commissioning and final site acceptance testing of the cryogenic plant at PRIMA site,

— supply of all the services and technical and quality documents necessary for manufacturing, assembly, testing and documentation of the cryogenic plant.
