The purpose of this contract is to conduct additional laboratory tests, following the ones done under contract OPE-0649, to further assess the radio frequency (RF) cleaning technique on ITER first mirrors (FM). In particular the aim is to evaluate the impact of a higher number of cleaning cycles, to optimise the RF power transfer through long cables and to perform feasibility tests on an in situ/real time technique for monitoring the removal of deposits.
