| Title | UPCOMING TDP WORKSHOP: Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Inspectability (RAMI) |
| Category | TDP News |
| Body | Fusion for Energy (F4E) is pleased to invite you to the ONLINE and/or IN-PERSON sessions of the RAMI Technology Mapping Workshop. 🎯 Topic: The workshop will provide a unique opportunity to explore the current status and key development needs on the road towards sustainable and commercially viable fusion power in the area of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Inspectability (RAMI). 🌍 Context: The fusion sector is entering an unprecedented phase of acceleration. Ambitious public programmes, next-generation demonstration facilities, and a rapidly growing ecosystem of private fusion companies and startups are targeting increasingly aggressive timelines to deliver commercial fusion energy. ⚠️ Challenge: However, achieving plasma performance milestones alone will not be sufficient. Commercial success will ultimately depend on the ability of future fusion power plants to operate reliably, with sufficient high plant availability to ensure a competitive Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE). 💡Key Takeaway: Without robust RAMI strategies, even technologically successful reactor concepts risk becoming economically unviable.
